Swimming can be a fun, scary, and risking activity all at once. I remembered when I was around nine years old, one of my neighbors had a swimming pool and let kids from the neighborhood go inside. Never in months did I enter the deep side because I was very scared to go there even with a life jacket on. Swimming was always a scary topic for me since I always thought that I was going to drown or never swim back up. With Ms. Longi, she was very helpful and made us feel comfortable inside the water. She teached us breathing techniques and the basics of swimming lessons. I made it to level 2 and im genguinely proud of myself. I learned how to swim, I still need help, but in the future when I get in the pool I know how to at least swim on my own without drowning. Nor do I doogy peddle or just float. I always tried my best in the pool even when it got difficult for me. I pushed myself to do better everyday. By watching and observing on how others that are now in level three swam in the water. The days I wouldn't swim I stayed obseving and listening to the things that Ms. Longi would say to the swimmers that weren't doing something correctly. On how they would listen and do even better once they learned. People complain and argue on why swimming is so important in life, but it really is. During any circumstance when you're either in the pool or ocean you know how to swim on your own. You may even be able to save another person's life. You will never know when the world will want you to swim. So I believe it is better to be prepared than be late and not know anything. Learning how to swim can take days, weeks, or even months, but as long as you never quit, you will make it through. Learn how to swim and I assure you that you are accomplising a good thing in life. You can cross it of your bucket list if that was a goal for you. I know it was one of mine.
